One of our users has contacted us because they thought that their PC had contracted a virus from Siliconhell. I'd like to strongly assure you that we take security very seriously. I can state with confidence that there are no viruses or trojans on Siliconhell. We also do not, or will ever, pass your details over to a 3rd party.
You also need to ensure
that you take security seriously. Here are a few personal recommendations that will help you be safer online.
- Purchase and install a reputable Antivirus & Firewall product such as Norton Internet Security. If you cant afford that then consider using a free antivirus product such as AVG. It doesn't provide the same level of protection but it is free.
- Ensure you update your antivirus product. Its pretty useless if you don't as new security threats are found pretty much every day.
- Ensure that keep your operating system and applications updated. If you are a Windows user go to www.WindowsUpdate.com
- Don't use pirated or hacked applications.
- Do not open attachments or click links in untrusted emails.
- Do not use your email address or full name as a username (Otherwise you are telling everybody your details which can lead to lots of spam or identity theft)
I hope this info helps
Regards
Mike...
