It did and it was... actually, I've been with them exactly 10 years yesterday... they've asked me to contract on until the end of December, to which I've agreed with the understanding that I can leave at any time (just in case the perfect job gets offered to me in the UK)

Actually, not really (if we had left the kids with the inlaws)... It would have cost us about R800-00 each to fly down (return ticket) and then a car rental would have cost about R1000-00... It cost us about R4000-00 in petrol and Toll Roads to drive

A man named Smith was sitting on his roof during a flood, and the water was up to his feet. I have faith in the Lord and he will save me.” Later a helicopter flew by, and Smith was now standing on the roof with water up to his neck. “Grab the rope,” yelled the pilot. “I’ll pull you up.” “No, thanks,” said Smith. “I have faith in the Lord and he will save me.”

But after hours of treading water, poor, exhausted Smith drowned and went to his reward. As he arrived at the Pearly Gates, Smith met his maker and complained about this turn of events. “Tell me, Lord,” he said, “I had such faith in you to save me and you let me down. What happened?” To which the Lord replied, “What do you want from me? I sent you two boats and a helicopter!”

It makes me think "What would it take for man to accept and believe that there is a god?".

I think, personally, that it really would be raising the dead - mind you, I'd be so freaked out by it I'm not sure that a belief in God would be the first thing on my mind
