QOTW Public Holiday

If you where given the opportunity to add a public holiday to the calendar what would it be? And, how would you want it to be celebrated?

For example:
You could deem that the 3rd of March is National Chocolate Day. Everybody has the day off work so they can eat chocolate.

I want New Year's Day moved to July 1st.

It's getting too hard, and I'm getting too old to party for 2 days straight (as it's my birthday Jan 1).

If I can't have that, I would like an international Children's day on November 10th. You all get days off school, and can eat whatever they like, and don't have to do chores. After all, Easter and Christmas don't count, and there are Mother's and Father's Days.

I would have loved that when I was younger.

That sounds perfect to me as it also happens to be my birthday!!!

I think there should be a bank holiday between the end of August and Christmas as it always seems such a long time with no bank holidays and free day off work!

Hi from sunny Spain - as you can tell we´re taking a break from the sun and sitting in an Internet cafe - very sad!

BUT - on topic - I think everyone should have one personal "duvet day" to be nominated by them each year in advance - personally I think there should be more than one, but one would certainly be a start!!
