I'm Irish and I wouldn't change my nationality?
Being Irish is Class because no matter where you go in the world you will find an Irish Bar even if their are no Irish Staff working in it And when other nationalities travel abroad they always go looking for the craic and they head for the Irish Bars so you meet loads of different people from all over .....Best of Both Worlds really |

I love New Zealand, it's a very nice country, but don't know if I could call myself a kiwi. Come to Australia Nutty, you'll love it, but if we run out of beer, don't get greedy.

Yes Nutty, it's very expensive to live here. The average salary I think is 40K per year.
I think only very rich people live comfortably, the rest of us struggle everyday. Food, petrol, and housing, are most expensive. Yet without even one of them, you can't exist. For a small population, it seems our government can't handle what they have. Our prime minister wants a republic ????????

Well, I think (judging by jobs advertised on the net) that I would earn between $70 000-00 and $100 000-00... obviously, that seems like a reasonable salary by what you just said, would I be able to have a reasonable life on that???
The cost of living in the UK is about the same as the cost of living in SA (from what I can gather)... some things are more expensive (meat for example is very cheap in SA compared to the UK) and some things are cheaper (electronic equipment and cars for example are cheaper in the UK)... PLUS I know I would earn more in the UK (at the exchange rate) to what I earn here... I did a comparason on a few goodies between SA and Aus... The same fridge (a 420 litre LG) costs R3 999-00 in SA in Aus it was $1300-00... at the exchange rate (+- 7 to 1), that equates to +- R9100-00 BUT if I earned $100 000-00 pa that would be the equivalent of +-R700 000-00 pa.. I currently earn R440 000-00 pa here, so I would earn nearly double in Aus... it's all very confusing
