QOTW: Is It Wrong To Eat Meat Such As ....?

Question Of The Week:

Some countries and cultures eat foods such as horse and dog, is this wrong?

Just how should it be decided what is wrong, or what is right?

I do eat meat but I don't agree with Whaling. Maybe I'm a hypocrite...I don't know...but I certainly don't agree with hunting a species to the point of extinction for just meat...
Maybe we should all be vegetarians

Humans are omnivorous, so I totllay disagree with being vegetarian(besides from that, I don't really like the taste of most Veggies )...
As to eating Dog, cat or horse I beleive that it is a cultural thing as meat is meat and most Hindu's (for example) probably think that us eating Cows is Barbaric... What I don't agree with however, is the method of slaughtering/killing animals some cultures use... I have seen (on video) cats being boiled alive after having there legs broken first so that they cannot climb out of the pot...this is practised in some oriental countries...

I do agree with everything you said Nutty Meat is meat and Humans are not supposed to be vegatarians.

I am certianly a carnivor (well as much of a carnivor as a human can get) I eat meat all the time, should probably add some veg to my diet for my health

Nutty raises a very valid point! Its not what you eat that matters, its how the animal is kept, cared for, and slaughtered that matters!

I know that the above is very important to Jews and Muslims.

The question I was trying to ask was why do some people eat beef but refuse to eat lamb because they are cute

I myself would eat just about anything as long as it has been kept well and killed swiftly.

no I limit my meat to white nothing red.....urggggh.
But each to his own as my granny use to say.....
gross about the cat.....although I did eat snake once but that's white meat too.
