Cat's are more aloof than dogs, which may give them the illusion of intelligence BUT I would say (having owned both pets) that dogs are the more intelligent... Think www.trivialpursuitexperiment.com should organise a Cats vs. Dogs competition...

Cats are smarter. You can train a cat, just like a dog, but cats have the ability to think for themselves.

Oooooo!! You are treading a fine line there, I think you may be in trouble if she reads that!!

I think cats can be more intelligent but like Fifi said, they can think for themselves.. so maybe they take in the training, but just can't be bothered to do it then? We'll never know!!
