I lost so much money last time I bought a new car. I'd had it for about 19 months on those lease things that they sell you where after 4 years you either pay a whopping payout to buy the car or get something else, and my health changed and i couldn't drive it any more. I had to give it back on the two thirds rule (where if you have paid over 2/3rds of the payments you can hand it back and walk away (but get nothing back for your car)). I had to hand it over and then find the money for a deposit on a new car I could drive with bad knees!
Once stung, twice shy I think!!!! MadCat |

Yes i think I'll be much more careful next time round. I bought the car with my fiance at the time-it was more than either of us could have afforded on our own, which meant that when the relationship ended I was left paying for a car I couldnt afford. What made it worse was that the loan payments were also covering things that we'd bought for his flat in preparation for getting a house (which included a 2 grand fireplace!). If I'd have sold the car, I wouldnt have got near enough to pay off the loan, and certainly wouldnt be able to afford to get another car, so just had to stretch it over more years to make the repayments cheaper! Got about another 7 years I think...!

I really hate the adverts for DSF, CSL, etc (For those not in the UK these companies sell furniture, settees, couches....)
They always seem to have a sale on with "unmissible double discounts", "buy Now pay next year" Blah Blah Blah Blah Mike... |

The adverts for Pro Biotic drinks really annoy me. They imply that they can make you feel wonderfull yet there is very little actual research available to justify the claim.
And the "Ooh Danone" jingle is annoying, it does its job of advertising though because it sticks in your head |

It's like the Intel tune... (although I always replace that with a Kerching (noise of a til opening) sound!). They are both really annoying but easy for your mind to attach to the product. MadCat |

I really hate the Cilit Bang adverts. Why is that man shouting at me though the t.v? Can't he control the volume of his voice? The lip syncing is terrible too.

You often wonder how much they had to drink when they came up with these really bad ads...or maybe there were morons in training and somebody (the production manager) forgot to check it before it went on air.
Here in SA they screen the very controversial ads on a Friday and show them about every half an hour. By Monday morning when the consumer compalints offices are open the ad is already entrenched in your grey matter. | ||||||||
