In fact, since I've been playing the game (for the last 20 years or so) the club rules have changed several times... I still prefer the original rules we used to use...

That reminds me of the famous commentary blooper...
Can't remember who it was that said it but he was commentating on a Snooker Match and said something like "And Steve Davis has set himself up nicely for the Pink and for those of you watching this in Black and White, the pink ball is the one next to the blue"
