FUN: Name Three Items That Should Be Placed In The Eternal Fire Of Siliconhell

Living in the modern age that we do means that we are daily subjected to the beeps and bongs of technology. To be honest hardly an hour goes past that I don't profanely swear at some so called labour saving device. I swear sometimes these inanimate widgets decide to squawk an error at the worst possible time

• I have a presentation to give in five minutes and the printer decides to chew my work
• I have a flat tyre in the middle of nowhere and my mobile is flat
• I'm on my way to an interview and my SatNav decides to go the scenic route

I could rant about these for hours

So, what items would you cast into the eternal fires of Siliconhell ?

1. Blackout while you are doing the banking on the computer
2. Mobile phone dies halfway through an emergency phone call when your in the middle of the country ie. police, fire, ambulance,
3. TV blows up just as you turn it on to watch your favourite soap

Believe it or not, I had 2 of the 3 happen to me this week and it's only tuesday

MP3 players on mobile phones.

I actually love mine but I have the courtisy to wear my headphones when I listen to mine. I get really annoyed when people (usually teenagers) play their MP3 players on speak whilst on public transport (happens on the bus all the time) making everybody listen to they're music This is not your house. There are other people here and we don't want to listen to your music!

Sorry. A bit of a rant there.

Systems which log you out just as you've finished typing up something really long

TVs which lose their signal when you're favourite show is coming on (not with digital t.v but my small bedroom t.v does it sometimes)

Here are my three, I know I will add loads over the next few years

Phone auto dialers: As used by people trying to sell me stuff I dont want. I had to try really hard then not to swear!

Automated phone systems: Press 1 to get another menu, Press 2 to get another menu, and so on Just put me through to somebody who speaks the Queens English

Computers: OK I work in I.T. but its a love hate relationship

I think one of my printers actually was in Siliconhell last night... I tried to print an image, and smoke came pouring out of the back

I hope it's still under guarantee... can't remember exactly when I bought it... but I'm hoping it's less than a year ago...

3 Things to place in the fires of Siliconhell...

1.) My wireless mouse and keyboard, which tends to have a mind of it's own after about 10 minutes of use
2.) My remote controlled Helicopter... which seems to have a mind of its own as well (mind you, this is probably more due to the idiot on the controls rather than the Helicopter itself)
3.) Ermmm.. and my Samsung Colour Laser Printer which decided to set light to itself last night
