The thing is with these scooters is the steering is very light (for obvious reasons) and because they have handlebars, you can turn lock to lock with very little movement. If you then crack the throttle right open, they are quite hard to keep in a straight line. I know because my mother-in-law got one recently and I went for a little test run along a narrow pavement to see how fast it went. Quite scary!!!

I am a bad boy.....
My wife's grandfather had one... he was an engineer and he modified his scooter. We decided to go to the pub down the road. We were going to drive and he was going in his scooter. I will always remember him opening his remote controlled garage door and come out. He then remotely shut it and then pushed the 'turbo' button. I had to do some speed in the car to catch him !!! He managed to 'tweak' the electrics to the motor and got some extra speed out of it.... It was a brilliant sight to see.... A genius !!! Daz

She must not have been watching where she was driving.. I hate using my scooter as it is so difficult to turn. I would rather use the wheelchair as it is better for ankle bashing when people don't get out of the way, or walk in front of you.
I was in asda this morning in my wheelchair and I got an old woman in the back of the legs as she constantly walked in front of me and would then stop. I was so frustrated, but I got her back and she soon moved out of the way!! MadCat
