Fancy winning 150 tokens
Rules: - You must list the artist and the name of the song - It must be a well known song, I will use the British charts for reference - The competition will run until all of the questions are answered, or until the end of October - The 150 Tokens will go to the first person to correctly list 16 songs - Its a difficult one to judge but I will use a lyric reference site to check the answers. Members are welcome to have your say on this one. Name 8 songs where the title is the first words of the song - For instance Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann. First Line "Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, Another runner in the night" Name 8 songs where the title is not actually mentioned in the song - For instance Paranoid by Black Sabbath Mike ...

Ok, here we go.....
Name 8 songs where the title is the first words of the song 1. Imagine - John Lennon 2. Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison 3. Nights in White Satin - The Moody Blues 4. It's Not Unusual - Tom Jones 5. Super Trouper - ABBA 6. I Started A Joke - The Bee Gees 7. The Tide is High - Blondie 8. Careful WIth That Axe, Eugene! - Pink Floyd (ok, maybe that one's cheating a bit as those are just about the only lyrics! except for a few "aaaarghs") Name 8 songs where the title is not actually mentioned in the song 1. Song 2 - Blur 2. Day In the Life - The Beatles 3. The Shoop Shoop Song - Cher 4. The Ballad of John and Yoko - The Beatles 5. Rainy Day Women #12 and 35 - Bob Dylan 6. Blue Monday - New Order 7. Tubthumping - Chumbawamba 8. The 59th Street Bridge Song - Simon & Garfunkel :-o fingers crossed :-o PS. Whoever came up with the whole Siliconhell website idea thingy...it's fantastic!! Having stumbled upon it by accident one day, it has provided me with some very welcome distractions and brain-teasers. So thank you! (besides....anything that is derived from Red Dwarf, however indirectly, has got to be a winner!) ;-) |

I used to hace a huge crush on her... It used to be great when all of the "old" 80's pop stars used to present shows on VH1 (VH1 has since gone downhill in my opinion)... Claire Grogan had her own... still looks fantastic at 40 odd.... there's just something incredibly sexy about a scottish accent on a good looking woman...

I was thinking about when I was 25, that was my golden time. No wife, kids or mortgage. I was striker for a good soccer side, scoring goals, getting lucky every weekend, earning good money (that I could spend on what I wanted)
