You need a blood test from your vet, they are around £50 (well it is in Wigan anyway).

Jack was originally tested as he had a dog bite and after 2 courses of Anti-biotics he wasnt healing and sleeping a lot. I got him tested as I thought he may have had blood poisoning. I was so shocked when the vet told me he had FIV. I was trying to petition the government to make it legislation to get all cats tested, but coz of the expense and lack of information and caring they were not interested.

Due to the nature of kittens, they do not test accurately. Any vet will tell you that even if they do not have FIV, they will test positive falsely before the age of 6 months.

Why, are you worried about one of your kittens?
