When I was a kid my mom made me and my brother some ox tail soup - the power stuff that came in a box that you added water to. It was full of small white bits - my brother didn't notice as he has been dunking bread into his.
Anyway on inspection of the box it was full of minute holes - something had bored into it (lots of somethings) and laid eggs - hence the white stuff. A woman from public health came and took a look - her response "Oh well more protein"  I was not impressed - I was about 10 at the time and still remember it clearly I have not had Ox tail soup since - even from a can  | ||||||||
