![]() Er, I think I've made an error: A satnav leads a driver astray A hapless driver fell foul of modern technology when his satnav system sent his car into a flooded tunnel. The steelworker – who was lucky enough to escape identification – was 400m (a quarter of a mile) from his destination when the satnav blunder caused his £10,000 Audi to splash into 1.2m (4ft) of water. After swimming to safety, the 40-year-old driver sat at the edge of the tunnel cursing the electronic system which misdirected him as he neared steelworks in Port Talbot, South Wales. His car later had to be winched out by a local garage. WHEN will people realise they still need to exercise some common sense and actually LOOK where they're going even using Satnav?????????

I'm planning to learn to drive this year and I will be buying a SatNav so that I can find places I've never been. Don't think I'll be that stupid though. I may not be a genius but I definetly have a lot of common sense.

I have to admit that we ordered a SatNav last night
We purchased a TomTom One as it seemed to have the best reviews for our price range. |

I know Dublin airport well as I used to go to Blackrock and Dundalk a lot. I used to come out of the airport walk down the ramp to my hire car and away I went. Good to see you back online Last edited by Mike; 12-01-2008 at 12:04 PM. |
