10 O levels, 12 A levels - didn't I do well?
Well, OK, that's not really me (definitely NOT that academic), but if they follow through with plan to let children mark their own course work, set their own homework, and decide what questions they should be given in tests, that's the way it's going to be from now on.
Is it me, or is the education system going COMPLETELY bonkers? I was expected to work hard to pass my exams, not decide how easy they should be so I could pass without trying! I get so sick of everything being handed to kids on a plate these days - no wonder the world is going to hell when no-one knows what it's like to work for what you want!  Rant over! | ||||||||

 On a serious note though: Things do seem to be getting a bit daft in the education sector  In my opinion Education is one of the key issues for any society ! | ||||||||

My turn for a little rant lol..
When my eldest daughter was at school, she had some art homework, and it was about henna tattoos, and all pupils were given a large piece of card, to cut a long story short, she done all her own work spent hours drawing, only to get the same mark as someone who got pictures and stuck them on, as u can imagine i was fuming, but there was nothing i could do | ||||||||

That is a bit crap Saz! Although I must admit, when I was going through my exams at school, I worked hard for them and i got decent grades, but because a lot of other people worked hard too it wasnt that we'd done well or that the teachers had put in a lot of hard work to get us there, it was 'obviously' that the exams were getting easier?!?! I remember that really peeing me off when I'd got my results. A lot of hard work for the government to turn round and say we only did well because the questions were easy!!! Maybe teaching just got better? they never think of that do they!
