Firefighters in Massachusetts took part in a training drill this week, which involved them cutting holes in the roof and walls of an empty house, as well as breaking the windows to test their tools and their proficiency.
The training went perfectly, apart from one small error the firefighters made. The house they were meant to use was two blocks away. The owners of the damaged home are asking for compensation, and the fire department is conducting an investigation. 'Accidents happen,' commented the house's owner, Jeffrey Luu. The house that the firefighters were supposed to damage was demolished later that day, as had been planned. |

'Accidents happen'? firefighters had ripped his home to shreds and all he said was 'accidents happen'? I'd have killed them! I especially would hope never to rely on them coming to rescue me in a fire if thay can get the address so wrong!
