=(
Just got back from the vet, he said that it could be a Blood Clot that got stuck near her hind legs, and she could just stay like this. he said it could also be a diabetic problem he gave us a few options, first we would have to spend 75 bucks to get bloodwork done, to see if its diabetic or a blood clot. if it was a blood clot we could give her pills for 40/month, if its diabeties shots are 15/month. Its not looking too good for sassy, we may have to put her down, and get her sister a new friend =( |

What a hard decision you have to make
Sometimes the right decision is the hardest to make. When Jack was first diagnosed with FIV, we had to take Ban, our other cat to get tested. (each test costs £100, which is a shed load of money!!). It came back positive. Jack was still young enough to be kept as mainly an indoor cat, but Ban was a 90% outdoor cat, and if he was stuck inside he ripped all our wallpaper and got aggressive and unhappy! It was really hard to do, but for the health of all the other cats in our area, we had to get him put to sleep. It was 2 weeks before his 6th birthday. I still regret the decision, but it was morally right... I hope you have the strength to make the right decision for you and Sassy MadCat |

poor sassy and ryan.
something similar happened to my friends cat last year, every couple of weeks he would start walking into walls and having little fits, she would get him a steroid injection (or something similar) and he would seeminly get better. then again, a few weeks later if would start all over again. i believe she let it go on for far too long, it was almost 12 months when the vet told her that she absolutely must have him put down. it was a relief for me when i heard that he was finally gone, noone could really tell how much he was actually suffering, poor triton. leah xxx |

UPDATE:
we were about 1 week from having sassy put down, her back legs could barely move, she was basically pulling herself around with her front legs. The next day I wake up, and notice that she is kinda moving her hind legs when she was walking, i was like woo, shes kinda getting better. A week later she can pretty much walk normal, but her tail was still sagging down. Another week later ( today ) her tail has movement back. Its incredible, shes a fighter! Thanks for your prayers everyone =) |
