Default Restaurant for Cats

World's first restaurant for cats

The world's first restaurant for cats is about to open in New York.

The Meow Mix Café opens next week on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, reports the New York Post.

But the cafe, a promotion by the Meow Mix cat food company, will only be open for a week.

But company boss Richard Thompson it could re-open permanently and sprout franchises around the country if it's popular.

The café features tables where cats can try out six varieties a of Meow Mix - and where their owners can snack on people food.

Also read something about this somewhere. There is also a cat hotel open

in the states, all the rich eccentric people take their cats their and they

receive 6 star treatment, each room has a scratching pad, they receive

gourmet cat food, there are huge sofas where they can laze around on all

day, the grounds are huge so they can run around and catch birds all day

as well. There is also such a place for dogs, the only difference is the

dogs get walked everyday and get a bone everyday as well. I actually

think Barbara Cartland sent her dog to the hotel a few times when she

went away but not 100% sure.

Really amazing to see what lengths people will go to inivate...

Definately a brilliant idea as there are not many such establishments around and for all those eccentrics who take their pets everywhere, they don't need to worry about being turned away or kicked out because no pets are allowed.
