How do I get an account
Membership is free, easy and we won't pass your details to others. Click here to register

How do I activate my account
Account activation details are sent to the email address that you provided when you signed up. If it's not in your inbox within 10 minutes we suggest that you check your Spam folder. Services such as Gmail and Hotmail occasionally, and incorrectly, mark it as spam. If you haven't received it within 6 hours use the Contact Us form and we will try and assist you.

How and Where do I download the quizzes
The quizzes can be found in the Quizzes section of the forum. Just click on the quiz name to download it.

How and Where do I download the quiz answers
The quiz answers can be found in the Quiz Answer section of the forum. Just click on the relevant quiz answer name to download it. Only Logged In Members Can Access The Answers! Membership is free and easy, see above

How do I open a quiz
The majority of the quizzes are Excel documents that have been Zipped. You will therefore need MS Excel and something to unzip the file. WinZip can be downloaded for free from here, and a free MS Excel Viewer can be found here.

Who creates the quizzes
The vast majority of our quizzes are created by MadCat who is our very own quiz mistress.

Can I use a quiz for my office/school/pub
Yes, all we ask is that you mention Siliconhell.com

Can I submit a quiz
We vary rarely accept quizzes due to the amount of inaccuracies we have found in the past (which people give us grief over). If you are the owner of a high quality quiz that you wish to share let us know via the Contact Us form

The majority of the answers are PDF documents that have been Zipped. You will therefore need A PDF viewer and something to unzip the file. Winzip can be downloaded for free from here, and a free PDF reader from Adobe can be found here.

I think an answer is wrong
Its rare but it does happen. Post under Basic Help and let us know. Please try not to blurt out the answer as it spoils it for others

Try searching in the Hints and Clues section. If you cant find a hint then ask in there. Please try not to blurt out the answer as it spoils it for others.

Why should I donate, what do you spend it on?
Hosting, running and developing Siliconhell costs money. ALL of the revenue generated goes towards paying the bills. NOBODY on the site gets a salary. The Siliconhell staff such as the Admins and Moderators are volunteers. Without their help this great site wouldn't exist.

Do not Private Message asking for help, the Siliconhell staff have a day job and often don't get time to reply to PM's.
