Couple of queries

1) How come I just needed to "accept" the forum rules? Not that I mind doing it, just seems a bit strange when I've been posting for ages; and

2) On the longer threads (what made you happy/sad for example) I'm having trouble getting to the end sometimes - should some new ones be started maybe???

Sorry, I was testing a new add on for the forum. You got caught up in the testing Its installed and configured now

What (laymens terms please) are spiders - is it just that they have linked here from another site?

Spiders or Web Crawlers (as in World Wide Web) are small computer programs used by search engines such as Google and Yahoo.
They basically "crawl" the www and interrogate web sites contents to use in the index of their Search Engines...
