Our first answer to such questions is always speak to a qualified vet. Even if its just a telephone call to ask for some free advice.
My own answer is: I dont think getting him nutured will help much. In the UK its that time of year for cats where they fight for territory and of course for the honour of meeting a lady cat.
I am concerened about his swollen eye as cats scratches and bites can frequently lead to infection. Cats mouths are full of nasty bugs! If it hasnt improved take him to the vets as soon as possible.
Something that may help with the fighting is keep him in at night (You may do this already).
