Pete Townsend really was the brain behind the band... wrote the music etc... so really was his band with Roger Daltry as the singer....(sorry, I'm probably biased as I used to play guitar in a band and I considered it my band, not the singers

I drink too... Beer, as far as I'm concerned, is one of the great pleasures in life...
I don't judge people for smoking as I did it for years myself and know how addictive it is... AND I used to enjoy it... I just got to a stage where I couldn't breath all that well and thought, this really isn't worth it...
