I wouldnt get one, like SabreDragon I prefer to plan my route before with the UK road map book.. I do often drive with an Autoroute plan in my hand though, which isn't really very safe.
I wouldnt buy a sat nav though as I think they are a waste of money and a distraction to concentration.
