I have a bit of a different answer to Question 5 than Hyno's. Twice 4 and 20 is indeed 28. Shooting and killing a seventh part is four. However, at the sound of the gunshot, all the living birds will be scared and fly away. The only birds that remain are the dead birds, so 4 birds will remain.

For Q4, the word "rend" springs to mind. Rend can mean to tear apart, or to stick together. I think. :?:
