Seriously tho, I don't suppose it is a load of rubbish, it's just that it is impossible to write software without bugs (there are just too many different scenarios in the real world to test for every one)
so, what happens is, once the software has been shipped and it's been running on the publics pc's for a while, the bugs that the users report will be patched.. eventually, over a period of time, the OS will become more or less bug free...
So, it's better to wait until all the teething trouble has been ironed out...
Also, it sounds as if Vista is very resource intesive and was written for the latest hardware, so unless you've got a brand new machine with the latest CPU and loads of memory, it's probably not a good idea to upgrade anyway...
