You are such a cynic!!
We have a Panasonic 42" plasma.. it's wonderful.
My mum has 2 LCD 15" TVs at her house and they cost about £300 from Miller Brothers (now gone out of business) and they are really good.
You can get some good ones for under £400 but they will be small.
