2. Due to the strong rodeo culture, The Stampede City is Calgary, Canada
3. Surely, The Harbour City must be Sydney (although I've never heard it called "the Emerald City" :?: )
4. The City of the Violet Crown is both Athens, Greece and Austin, Texas. Austin gets its nickname from a reference in "Tictocq", a short story by O. Henry, probably referring to the violet glow seen there at dusk due to the hills. Athens's nickname comes from antiquity, and probably stems from the fact that Greece was formerly named "Ionia" after King Ion. "Ion" means violet, and Athens was the city where "Ion (Violet) was crowned"
5. The Quaker City is Philadelphia, aka the City of Brotherly Love
6. The City of Dreaming Spires is Oxford, so named because of the towers and spires of the many university buildings
